The Summer of Faust

If you’re in New York this week, check out the ARTEFACTS group show opening Thursday night, July 15th 7-11pm at Toy Tokyo’s new underground gallery space. Faust will have a couple brand new works on display alongside street luminaries Swoon, Shepard Fairey, Cope 2, Mr Cartoon, and Clayton Patterson to name a few. Should be a great show.

Also, at the end of this month, Faust will be among a group of artists installing work on the facade of a vacant factory in Beacon, NY as part of the ELECTRIC WINDOWS exhibition. It is a short walk from Dia: Beacon and a great escape from the city. For more information check out www.electricwindowsbeacon.com

And lastly, Faust’s and his partner-in-crime, Sure, were interviewed by Martha Cooper for her latest book NAME TAGGING which comes out this month. In it she documents how graffiti writers co-opt name badges as a platform to get their name around and also interviews Zephyr, Cost, and Twist on the topic. Check it out!
